Tony Webb

Lead Guide

  Tony is the founder of Hong Kong Mountaincraft. From humble beginnings as a rock climbing instructor at a small summer camp in rural Ohio, Tony built a career in the outdoors as a commercial climbing guide, backpacking instructor, and outdoor educator. He is a former director of the climbing program at the James C. Justice National Scout Camp and a former Senior Instructor at the National Center for Outdoor and Adventure Education. After coming to Hong Kong in 2016, Tony worked as a Program Coordinator,  Site Manager and Technical Trainer for Dragonfly Limited. After leaving Dragonfly in 2021, he founded Hong Kong Mountaincraft in order to provide his technical expertise to both institutional and individual clients throughout Hong Kong.

 

Tony has climbed in ten different countries on three continents in disciplines ranging from bouldering to alpine ice climbing and everything in between. He is an American Mountain Guide Association Single Pitch Instructor, a member of the American Alpine Club, and a National Registry Emergency Medical Technician.
